Some routes to the club are impractical for boat trailers, please follow the instructions below.

From the South

• If you are boating from Tyne RC, or have a large trailer, you should leave the A1 before it crosses the Tyne, take Scotswood Bridge and proceed to the Boat Club along the A6085
• If you are not towing a large trailer and are boating from NUBC then leave the A1 before you cross the Tyne and proceed towards Blaydon on the A695 then take the B6317 before turning left onto Haugh Lane. This leads into Newburn Bridge Road, the entrance to NUBC is on the right before Newburn Bridge.

From the North

• If boating from Tyne RC, or if towing a large trailer, you should leave the A1 at the junction before crossing the Tyne going south, signposted “A695, Blaydon”, then take the A6085 towards Newburn.
• If boating from NUBC then you should take the same route and reach NUBC across Newburn Bridge

From the West

• From the A69, take the A6085 past Throckley to reach Newburn. Those boating at NUBC can reach it across Newburn Bridge.

Please Note

• If you are towing a boat trailer you will NOT be able to turn into Tyne RC after coming across Newburn Bridge. The corner is too tight and you WILL take the end off of your boats.
• The turn into NUBC after coming across Newburn Bridge is also quite tight but can be made with care.
