Race Plan
Please use the following diagrams as a guide to circulation patterns and boating arrangements. This information may change depending on conditions come Regatta Day, but up-to-date information will be provided in the race program.
Circulation
Boating Pattern
- Boat from assigned boat club with bows pointing downstream.
- Competitors boating from Tyne United RC or NUBC should cross over onto the north bank under instruction from the Chief Boating Marshal.
- Boats should make their way to the start down the north bank of the river.
- Boats reaching the start should take instruction from the Start Marshal. Please ensure you reach the start at least 10 minutes before the start of your race.
- Those crews wishing to train before racing may do so downstream of the marshalling area BUT will no longer be under control of the race marshals and must be ready at the start 10 minutes before your scheduled race.
- After finishing crews should take instruction from the finish marshal, turning and proceeding downstream on the north bank.
- Crews landing at TURC and NUBC should cross to their landing stages under the instruction of the chief boating marshal. Crews for NUBC should cross after Newburn bridge.
